What is the answer to 2 1/5 times 2 2/9 show work

First convert each number to improper fractions:-

2 1/5 = 11/5 and 2 2/9 = 20/9

11/5 * 20/9  = 11*20 / 5*9 = 220 / 45 

220 /45 = 4 40/45   = 4 8/9 <------- Answer
