20+4m=42 and what's the solution to this?

20+4m=42. The answer to m is 5.5. I got my answer by doing the inverse operation of adding 20 by subtracting 20 from both sides and I got 4m=22. I later did the inverse operation of multiplying 4 I divided by 4 from 22 getting me 5.5.
