I forgot how to solve equations such as 3x+5y=-5. Can you give me examples?

well 3x is 3 times if they are together beside each other that mean they are multiplying so 3 times x plus 5times y = -5

You want to solve for x.

3x+5y=-5
3x=-5-5y
x=-5/3 - 5/3y
