10x + 3y = 19

y = 2x + 5

Putting y in the first equation

10x + 3.(2x + 5) = 19

10x + 6x + 15 = 19

16x = 19 - 15

16x = 4

x = 4/16

x = 1/4

Now x in y

y = 2x + 5

y = 2.1/4 + 5

y = 2/4 + 5

y = 1/2 + 5

y = 11/2
